Yesterday being the 10th of the 10th 2010 I relooked at 'The Powers of Ten' the movie written and directed by Charles and Ray Eames.
The film depicts the relative scale of the universe in factors of ten and is an adaptation of the 1957 book 'Cosmic View' by Kees Boeke. The film begins with a view of a couple picnicking in a park. The image settles on a one meter square overhead view then slowly zooms out to a view ten meters across. The zoom-out continues, increasing the perspective into the universe then zooms back to its original image.
Take a watch if you haven't seen it before...... it has a way of putting things into perspective for me! (We are but specs in this HUGE UNIVERSE)
