We have an insanely busy house at the moment!........ 4 children running around for the school holidays and we're refurbishing our home. Crazy I know!
Each week of the refurbishments I'll be uploading new photos of the progress and tips on how to achieve a successful renovation. (here's hoping its successful anyway!)
*Details Of Design Tip:
When choosing your paint colour or wall covering options think about what feel you want to achieve
Because of our hectic surrounds (4 children tend to cause that!) we want to create a home that's peaceful, fresh and relaxed.
We've ripped up the nasty green 90's carpet to reveal gorgeous Tawa floorboards which we will polish and blond to a light grey/white. Tawa is great to blond back as it's not as orange as some of our other hard woods. The entrance stairs are actually pine but I've got a great design idea for them so they become a fun feature of the home...... We'll be re carpeting the bedrooms and children's wing in a 100% wool, loop piled carpet with a 11mm underlay which will be plush under foot. (I've taken into consideration our children and pets when choosing the carpet!)
Next week we'll be polishing floors and finishing the painting so stay tuned for the progress.
