Well it's been a very busy week on the home front renovations. We've polished back and blonded our Tawa floor boards in our living/dinning room, lounge, hallway, entrance stairs and kitchen. As you can see from the pics we were lucky that most of the floor boards were in good condition. We only had to replace about 6 of them.'Details of Design' Tip: Pay your local demolition timber yard a visit if your looking for native hardwoods to repair your floor boards. I payed around $6 per meter for our Tawa. The price will depend on the type of wood and its condition.
We had to move out of the house for 3 days, which is always a trying time with young children. Fortunately my husbands parents were away so we moved into their house.
Moving all the furniture out and then back into the rooms is always a drag but you have to keep visualising the end result when you start to feel like your going insane!!! :)
............Now we're working on finishing the painting so the carpet can be removed and replaced! YAY, Bye Bye to nasty green 90's carpet!!!!!!
